Date: Saturday. January 23
Time: 12 PM
Location: Nelson City Hall, Canada
We are gathering this Saturday (Jan 23rd) to encourage conversation instead of division and to protect the essential human right for each of us to have freedom of choice when it comes to personal health.
We will be having a peaceful assembly at Nelson City Hall in support of the core values of our organization which include: Informed Consent, Medical Freedom, Transparent Science, Unbiased Journalism, Human & Privacy Rights & Free Speech.
We feel that many of these values which make up the fundamental pillars of an open society are currently not being respected.
We acknowledge that in the past allowing authorities to have autonomy over what an individual can or cannot do with their body is a slippery slope, one that is similar in steepness to that of taking away people’s inherent right to freely express themselves.
We are assembling to make sure we avoid the historical fates of societies that say and do nothing when their essential human rights are threatened and civil discourse is discouraged or even prevented by authorities.
We feel governments exist to serve the people and answer their questions
When the public feels that it’s questions are being ignored or that their rights are not being protected they have the fundamental right (some would say a civic duty) to gather in order to amplify their concerns and hold their public servants accountable.
We value the UNCONDITIONAL right for the public to gather and see it as an ESSENTIAL tool and safeguard in making sure the values of a free and open society remain protected.
We welcome all those who wish to stand with us this Saturday.
